The Phoenix 1.5 is a programmable transmitter may be used for the covert marking and positive identification of vehicles, personnel, mines, obstructions landing zones, routes, passages and airdrop items. The Phoenix 1.5 cannot be seen with the unaided eye. The Phoenix 1.5 IR-15 is designed for use with night vision devices such as the PVS-14, PVS-7, AN/AVS 6 and others. When operating, the IR light can be easily seen through several layers of material. Therefore, it may be placed in a pocket or inside field gear. The IR light will penetrate masking or duct tape.

The phoenix is completely waterproof.
